Welcome to my website.

Now that I've formally retired, I don't need it to be flashy. In any case, my commercial activity has always focussed on selling in what can loosely be called the fine art end of the photographic market, mainly via exhibitions. So without the constraints of a commercial gallery and the need to always find a new hook or gimmick on which to hang my photos ideas, I feel I can indulge myself and produce a gallery of work that I like. It's mostly personal stuff, but because I still enjoy selling the occasional print, I've included most of my 'best sellers' from over the years.

A small selection of seascapes is currently on sale at the Five Sailed Windmill, Alford, Lincolnshire. Even if you don't want to buy prints, the mill is worth a visit. It's on the road to Mablethorpe.

My partner Eddie has done the technical bit in setting the site up, and we've tried to make it quick to load and easy to navigate. There are no animated gifs; nothing jumps about. It's just a selection of photographs. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger image. It's designed for a resolution of 1024 by 768, but it works at a lower resolution if that's what you've got.

Some of the images are scanned from negative film, some are direct from digital camera files. They are all copyright, but if you want to use any as wallpaper on your computer, that's fine. If you want to use one on your web page that's fine too as long as you credit me. E-mail me and let me know what you're doing and make a link from your page to mine. Just don't rip them off and try to sell them as your own or we'll send the boys round. In fact they are very low resolution jpegs that make poor quality prints.

On the other hand if you want to buy a print to hang on your wall, there are details later.

To enter the site click on the dog's nose. The dog is called Ricoh; we've another one called Rollei and there are a couple of other pics of her. Why a dog's nose?  'Cos I'm something of a 'dog-aholic'. We used to have a German Shepherd called Leica - there's a pic of her somewhere too. We reckon we might call the next one Zeiss. They are all rescue dogs from the RSPCA in Halifax. I've more dog pictures than you can shake a stick at, but I've restrained myself and only included a few.

I hope you enjoy the photographs; e-mail me if you've anything to say about any of them. I like getting e-mails and promise I'll try and reply as soon as I can. Or use the guest book - but if you do this please include your e-mail address with an indication of where you're located.
